THE ELEVENTH HOUR HAS GONE
With as little as ten years to extinction for elephants, rhinos and lions, we must accept that current solutions haven’t worked; Africa’s national parks are under attack and the world has failed to respond.
97% of lions have gone
600+ still being butchered every year
975,000 killed in 100 years
3,500 males remain alive
93% of elephants have gone
35,000 being slaughtered every year
4,650,000 slaughtered in 100 years
350,000 remain alive
94% of rhinos gone

471,000 have been killed in 100 years
29,000 remain alive
IN DARK DAYS, A RAY OF HOPE…Meet National Park Rescue, an incredible organisation headed up by Mark Hiley.
National Park Rescue decided to step in when they felt other charities were not moving fast enough or over spending donations on corporate luxuries.
National Park Rescue uses ‘On the ground’ direct-action operations in the hope to over step this overspending, poor management, incompetence and corruption.
As National Park Rescue’s short film ‘The Final Shot’ shows, despite billions being donated by a concerned world, Africa’s National Parks remain massively under-resourced danger zones for wildlife. Securing the wildlife left alive is the forgotten priority among the well-funded ivory investigations, conferences and conservation reports.
IT’S TIME TO GET SERIOUS
Insane budgets have become the norm, but a little actually goes a long way in Africa. Direct-action creates dramatic change on common sense budgets.
Mark Hiley and his incredible crack-shot action team have cleared thousands upon thousands of snare since arriving in Malawi’s National Parks. Using army training to drive out corruption and replace corrupt rangers, who they witnessed to either be poaching themselves or simply ‘time wasting’ they install new rules, new values and rebuild the parks from the ground up. Unlike many other charities, once their work is done, they don’t just pack up and leave, allowing the poachers to break down park fences to craft into snares, they employ a team to stay and oversee the rangers for good, making sure that corruption and poaching doesn’t slip in again and the animals of the parks remain safe.
On their last mission, the arrested over 75 poachers, securing heavy fines and prison sentences, destroyed over 10,000 illegal animal traps and retrained and transformed the ranger force of the park. National Park Rescue make sure to use the country’s army in their work and this has been extremely successful, they have also managed to change government policy in order to empower conservationists into the position of honorary rangers.
Their work is so good that they are endorsed by Sir Michael Caine, Michael Palin and Sir Roger Moore and these celebrities can be seen in three excellent films on the front page of The National State Park Rescue website.
We have been informed that now National Park Rescue have rebuilt their first park in Malawi, they are now onto their second state park, except this time they will need to replenish the park with animals as so many have been poached and killed. For this they have had to raise a huge amount of cash, but every penny is being used in immediate direct action and they are out there right now starting the new project.
Please consider donating to this incredible organisation here: https://www.nationalparkrescue.org/
The money you send can be used to destroy snares and traps, deploy rangers, buy vehicles and build HQ centres.
